Privacy notice
Last updated 9 Oct 2026
In short: we only collect what we need to make and post your content. You can download or delete your data any time. We never sell your data.
What we collect
The Post Manual is run by Sarvada Infotech ("we"). This notice explains what personal data we use, why, and for how long.
| What | Why we use it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, mobile number and email | To create your account, sign you in, and contact you about it | While your account is open; deleted within 30 days after you delete it |
| Sign-in and activity records (time, device network address, what was changed) | To keep your account safe and investigate misuse | 1 year, as the law requires, then erased |
| Your brand details: name, handle, colours, logo, voice rules, topics | To make posts in your style | While your account is open |
| Posts, captions and slides made in the app | To make, schedule and publish posts you approve | Posts, their text and their results: while your account is open. Drafts never scheduled or posted: deleted 30 days after their last change. Slide pictures of published posts leave our servers 3 months after posting (the post, its text and results stay). Posts already on Instagram or other platforms stay there under their rules |
| Logins to the platforms you connect (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, Telegram) | To post only what you approve, and to read your posts’ results and comments | Stored encrypted until you disconnect the platform or delete your account |
| Results and comments from your connected accounts | To show results and your inbox | Results while your account is open; comment text for 90 days, then only counts |
| Comments on your posts, and the messages people send to your account when you set up comment replies or comment-to-message (with the names the platform gives us) | To show your inbox, and to send only the replies and messages you set up | Comment text 90 days, then only counts; the list of people who were sent a message 90 days; a minimal log of messages sent 1 year |
| Anonymous totals about which kinds of posts did well (hook style, picture style, posting time), with no names, brand names, captions, account details or photos | To improve our writing prompts and suggestions for every customer. We cannot tell whose posts the totals came from | Totals only, kept while the service runs |
| A client’s answer on a review link (approve or the change they asked for) | To tell you what your client decided | While the post exists |
| Payment details | Handled by our payment partner; we keep only invoices | Invoices for as long as Indian tax law requires (about 6 years), even after you delete your account |
| Your support requests and complaints | To help you, and to see which screens confuse people | 2 years after the request is closed |
| Alerts we sent you (in the app or by email) | To show who was told about a problem, and never tell you twice | 90 days |
| What you agreed to and when (your consent choices) | To show we have your permission, as the law asks | While your account is open |
| Help searches that found no answer | To write the missing help answers | 90 days, without your name or account |
We do not collect more than this, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service.
Why we use it
- To create and design content for you using AI.
- To schedule and post content after you approve it, or by itself when you switch Auto mode on.
- To show suggestions, results and insights.
- To keep your account safe and prevent misuse.
- To send you messages you choose (for example, "post ready" or "post failed").
We use your data because you agreed to it when you signed up, or because the law requires it (for example, security records and tax invoices). You can withdraw your agreement at any time in Settings; this stops the parts of the service that need it.
Google and YouTube data
If you connect a YouTube channel, we use Google APIs. This is exactly what we ask Google for, and why:
- Upload videos to your channel ("youtube.upload"): only the Shorts you approve. We cannot change or delete your other videos.
- See your channel name and the views, likes and comments of the Shorts we posted ("youtube.readonly"): to show your results and to check that the right channel is connected.
From Google we keep only: an encrypted login token for your channel, the channel name and id, and the numbers of the Shorts we posted. We never see your Google password.
The Post Manual’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We use this Google data only to post what you approve and to show you its results.
- We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or give it to anyone else, except to run the service for you, to follow the law, or as part of a sale of our business, with the same promises.
- People at our company see it only when they open your account to help you, keep the service safe or follow the law. Every visit is logged and shown to you in Activity.
- We do not use it to train AI models.
Take it back any time: choose Disconnect on YouTube in Channels (we tell Google to forget our login straight away and delete the saved login), or remove The Post Manual at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete everything we hold, see the "Delete your data" page.
By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as the table above says, and delete it automatically when that time is up. When you delete your account, nothing is deleted for 7 days, so you can change your mind by signing in. Then we delete your account, brands, posts, pictures and platform logins, always within 30 days of your request. We keep only records the law requires: security records (sign-ins and account changes) for 1 year, and invoices as tax law requires. If you belong to someone else's workspace, that workspace stays for its team; your name is taken off its records.
If you report a post or account, we keep your e-mail, phone and report for 180 days after we close it, then delete them. A record of content we removed or hid for safety reasons (the post words, its addresses and a copy of its pictures) is kept for 180 days, longer if a court or the police ask, and is not deleted when an account is deleted. For reports about child safety we keep no copy of any picture.

How we keep it safe
Data is encrypted when it travels and platform logins are encrypted when stored. Only people who need it can see it. Every time our staff open your account or look at your details, it is logged and shown to you in Activity. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board without delay, and report it to CERT-In as the law requires.
